We are proud to partner with Belinda's Place to provide women who are at risk of being homeless or homeless with an opportunity to get back on their feet. Through our initiative we will be educating women about the opportunities that the car industry provides, coaching them on the skills they will need to get back into the work force and improving their over-all state of mind and confidence.
We believe that supporting our community through employment is key. That's why we've teamed up with Job Skills to provide qualified, willing and motivated people with an opportunity to work in a friendly environment. We've already seen positive changes in those employee's and their lives. They have more confidence and are able to be more independent as a result of hard work and perseverance.
We were pleased when March of Dimes Canada Employment Services, reached out to us, to develop a relationship. Their free services ensure our workplace is diverse and inclusive of people with disabilities. We have discovered that often people with disabilities have had different life experiences and bring different perspectives and are able to problem solve and look in directions that we would have thought of. Diversity in the workplace just makes good business sense.
We are proud to give an opportunity to people in third world countries by providing them with a loan to help them make a difference in their community. Through Kiva we were able to help out four different women make an impact for their community such as a solar energy system to generate electricity in Nicaragua. People in these countries deserve to have a better lifestyle, so with this loan we were able to provide just that.
